The e-waste recycling project of grade 7 of Ajmera Global School (AGS) which kicked off this academic year gained momentum when loads of e-waste started pouring in from all quarters.
It was indeed a proud moment for AGS when Head of Schools and principal Ms Hima Doshi purchased an exclusively designed e-waste bin for storing the collected e-waste. An e-waste consists of any electronic junk which is not in working condition and has to be discarded such as old batteries, chargers, old remotes, CD, cassettes, wires, damaged laptops, tabs, ipads etc. Students of Grade 6 further expanded the project by performing street plays at various public places and also placed the e-waste bin to collect the e-waste at various locations.
AGS is now an e-waste collection centre with the e-waste being collected periodically and sent to the e-waste recycling plants. So residents in Borivali can now drop their e-waste at AGS and support the school in this eco-friendly venture.
