Updates - Ace shooter interacts with KIIT International students

Shriyanka Sadangi, presently a student of St. Stephens College, Delhi visited KiiT International School for a brief but engaging interaction with the staff and students of the school on Saturday, June 22.

 

The future face of Shooting in India, Shriyanka is the daughter of an army officer, and alumna of DPS, Vasant Kunj, Delhi. With several medals to her credit in national and international events and a participant in major sporting events including Olympics, Commonwealth Games, Asian Games and the World Championships, her pet event is the 10 metre rifle event.

Shriyanka jelled with the students and struck a familiar chord in all of them. Her pride as an Indian to make the country proud through exemplary performance in sports and her love for shooting was something that students connected with immediately.  She encouraged students to try shooting as a sport and pursue it along with their studies if they enjoyed it.

 

She said she wanted students in Odisha to take up sport and pursue their dreams.
