Anita Karan, Sanskrit teacher, KiiT International School attended the 4th International Teachers Conference held between July 11-18, 2013 in Villa Boccella, Lucca, Italy. The conference was sponsored by ERT and St. James School, London. The conference provided Karan a unique opportunity to network with teachers from other countries and listen to insightful lectures on new pedagogies.
According to Karan the inaugural meeting was especially useful, providing her the opportunity to meet principals, organizers, villa owner, expert teachers and trainers. The thrust of the meeting was on how to develop teaching skills through different methodologies on Srimad Bhagavad Geeta and fundamental Panini grammar on Sanskrit.
Karan believes that her attendance at this conference supported the goals of KiiT International School. She got a chance to showcase school videos, especially the Sanskrit lab and KISS (Kalinga Institute of Social Science) videos.
The conference also hosted a talent show and the Sanskrit group excelled by chanting shlokas from Srimad Bhagabad Geeta.
