Pritam Singh moves to IMI

Dr. Pritam Singh, former director of Management Development Institute (MDI), Gurgaon and IIM-Lucknow, assumed charge as the new director general of the Delhi-based International Management Institute (IMI, estb.1981) — India’s first corporate-sponsored business school and routinely ranked among the country’s top 20 B-schools — on April 6. “IMI has many strengths. Its faculty is on a par with the best in the country. I propose to set up seven centres of excellence, covering a range of themes and issues within IMI,” he said, addressing the media in Delhi on April 20.

Promoted in collaboration with IMI Geneva (now IMD, Lausanne), IMI was India’s first B-school sponsored by several blue-chip corporates including RPG Enterprises, Williamson Magor, Nestle, ITC, Tata Chemicals, and BOC, among others.
