The British Council has awarded Mahatma Gandhi International School (MGIS) the grant for the purposes of carrying out exchange activities under the auspices of the British Council Connecting Classrooms Programme. MGIS will carry out the detailed project in collaboration with the Partner School Dudley College of UK.
The project commenced on March 23, 2015 and will continue until January 31, 2016. All project activity and financial expenditure is required to be completed by January 31, 2016 and the narrative and financial reports submitted to the British Council.
Proposed Project for this Grant:
The relationship between Dudley College and Mahatma Gandhi International school is since 2011, when the two institutes got together under the UKIERI initiative and grant. The intention is to strengthen the relationship by looking into new areas of engagement. One area that both the institutes would want to introduce and carry forward is partnership in running the HND and HNC programme in Creative Media Production and Teacher Training. Both the institutes are BTEC centres so conducting such courses is logically possible. The mutual visits between the two institutes would ensure a prolonged establishment of the programme. The visit would be by BTEC coordinator from MGIS to Dudley and VP Mr Sanjeev Ohri from Dudley College.
Suggested dates are: August beginning to September beginning 2015
