Jain International Residential School participated in the Equestrian Centre of Excellence Championship 2016 held at Palace grounds Bangalore from 26thAugust to 28th August 2016 which was led by coaches Mr. Abdul Nazir and Mr. Vignesh G with a team of 11 riders and 6 horses.
JIRS was the only school to participate among the professionally run Equestrian clubs where there were top Riders of the country participating in the Championship who represented in National as well as International Levels.
The school equestrian Team of 11 riders- Akshata Arora, Yashashwini, Jeet D, Shaurya Rai, Shaurya Jain, Praanshu Chauhan, Utkarsh Mutha, Himanshu P, Aditya JB and T. Melvin Mark participated in the championship where the team won a total of 4 medals- 2 silver and 2 bronze. Akhilan won 1 silver and one bronze medal, Shaurya Jain won a Bronze among 50 riders competing with them in 66-75cms show jumping and Aditya J B won a Silver medal in 75-85cm show jumping among 40 riders respectively. We had 8 of our riders who got a clear round in the competition and they had a wonderful performance competing among the top riders.
The School Equestrian team had a great and marvellous experience during the completion and they kept their spirits high and were showing true competition Spirit where they encouraged all the competitors and cheered for them. The students showed a lot of courage and girt while performing among the best.
