The new class X syllabus of State Board announced by the Government of Maharashtra has called for an orientation of the teachers to teach from the new textbooks. Keeping this in mind, Mumbai based Navneet Foundation recently organised a one-day training programme which was attended by teachers from various schools of Mumbai.
The training programme aimed at updating the teachers about the new text-books introduced by the Maharashtra education department.
Navneet Foundation through its Teacher’s Training Programme, focused on Marathi as a Second Language and shared tips and techniques with teachers about how to resolve students’ queries and help students to score more marks in the language. The master trainers invited by Navneet Foundation discussed the pattern of assessment and resolved all the queries of teachers related to Marathi language question paper. They shared tips on how to design the various sections of the activity sheet such as essay writing, poetry appreciation, grammar and comprehension.
The training programme also provided guidance to the teachers for quality teaching. Teachers from various locations of Mumbai participated in the programme.
On the occasion, Basanti Roy, CEO Teacher Training Programme, Navneet Foundation said, “Teachers play a key role in the education system, hence the capacity building of teachers through training programme will help in improving the quality of education”.
