The new class X syllabus announced by the Government of Maharashtra has called for an orientation of the teachers to handle the new English textbook. Taking the initiative, Navneet Foundation - the CSR initiative of Navneet Education Ltd. - recently organised a teacher training programme at Mumbai which saw participants from Mumbai, Satara, Jalgaon, Pune, Kolhapur, Palghar and Nashik.
The training programme was aimed at updating the teachers on the new textbooks introduced by Maharashtra education department.
Navneet Foundation Training Programme focused on English as the 3rd language subject and shared tips on training students to score more marks in this language. The master trainers invited by Navneet Foundation discussed the pattern of assessment and resolved all the queries of teachers related to English language question paper. They shared tips on how to improve skills in essay writing, poetry appreciation, grammar and comprehension.
This training programme also provided guidance to the teachers for quality teaching. Teachers from various location of Maharashtra participated in the programme and they will later conduct the workshop at their respective locations.
