Team Yantraman from RoboFun Lab Pvt Ltd comprising 12 year old Anav Agrawal (Ecole Mondiale Word School), 11 year old Arul Singh (Jamnabai International School), 11 year old Keshav Mohta (Vigyor International School) and 11 year old Rivaan Vaghani (Jamnabai International Schooli), have won the ‘Best Build Award’ at VEX IQ Worlds 2018 held in Louisville, Kentucky (USA) from April 29 to May 1.
VEX IQ Worlds is considered as the world`s most prominent robotics competition by the Guinness World Records with more than 3200 teams participating from the across the globe after performing exceptionally well at their respective nationals chapter. Team Yantraman bagged three prestigious awards at the Indian national chapter – Best STEM Research, Best Robot Design and were runners up in Robot Run.
The challenge this year was based on the theme “Ring Master” where the robots were supposed to take different coloured rings from different places and stack them in different poles. More rings of same colours stacked in same pole meant more the points for the team. They also had a bonus tray for more rings.
Team Yantraman triumphed over teams from other participating countries such as USA, Japan, Korea, China, Australia, Malaysia and Singapore, among 80 others, to bag the “Build Award” at VEX IQ Worlds 2018, making it a truly laudable achievement.
