EW India School Rankings 2015 Awards Nite

In the crowded ballroom of the Taj Vivanta, Delhi, EducationWorld felicitated and celebrated schools top-ranked nationally, in the states and cities in the EW India School Rankings 2015 published last month  Summiya Yasmeen

Apacked house at the EducationWorld India School Rankings Awards Nite 2015 staged in New Delhi’s Taj Vivanta, Dwarka on September 26, felicitated India’s top-ranked day, boarding and international schools. The country’s biggest K-12 education awards nite attracted the participation of over 500 principals, trustees, and teachers of India’s most respected schools. In the crowded ballroom fitted with two drop-down audio-visual screens, EducationWorld feted and celebrated schools top-ranked nationally and in the states and cities as per the EducationWorld India School Rankings 2015 league tables published in early September.

During the six-hour awards nite, Top 10 schools in ten discrete categories — day co-ed, day-cum-boarding, all-girls and boys day schools; co-ed, girls and all-boys boarding schools; and day, day-cum-boarding, and wholly residential international schools — were presented trophies and certificates of excellence and achievement. Moreover this year the country’s top-ranked budget private and special needs schools were also awarded trophies and citations.

Among the principals and education leaders who received awards on the occasion were Peter McLaughlin of Doon School, Dehradun; Vijay Datta of Modern School, Barakhamba Road; Sumer Singh of Daly College, Indore; Zarene Munshi, Dhirubhai Ambani International School, Mumbai; Gunmeet Bindra, Welham Girls, Dehdarun; Manika Sharma, The Shri Ram Schools, Delhi; and Ryan Pinto, Ryan International Group of Institutions, among others from across the country.

Moreover on the occasion, Dr. Ramdas Pai, chancellor of Manipal University; Dr. B.S. Rao, founder-chairman of the Hyderabad-based Chaitanya Group; M.V. Muthuramalingam, founder-chairman of the Chennai-based Velammal Group of Institutions, were conferred the EW Lifetime Achievement in Education Leadership 2015 Award with special citations.

The awards nite was supported by Samsung India, Bennett University, Gr8 Synergy, Global Education Solutions (Australia), Kokuyo Camlin Ltd, Popcorn Furniture, North Star, The Sports Gurukul and Afairs Exhibitions & Media Pvt. Ltd.

The EW India School Rankings Awards Nite was preceded by a first-of-its-type interactive workshop for trustees and principals conducted by Raymond Ravaglia, the US-based founder of the Stanford University Online High School and former associate dean of Stanford University’s Pre-Collegiate Studies program, on the subject ‘Preparing Students for the Emerging Global Economy’.
