ASSET Question Making Competition

Educational Initiatives Pvt. Ltd, an Ahmedabad-based company focused exclusively on assessment and learning outcomes measurement in school education, invites primary/secondary school teachers countrywide to enter its ASSET Question Making Competition, registration for which commenced on July 21. Educational Initiatives (EI) administers ASSET, India’s largest diagnostic assessment test taken by over 250,000 school students every year.

Teachers have to send at least five model questions in one or more subjects — English, maths, science and social studies. A panel of experienced teachers and experts will assess the questions submitted and prizes will be awarded to “a large number of good questions”. Based on response from teachers and schools, EI plans to make this competition an annual feature.

“Over time we hope this competition will help improve the questions framing skills of teachers and in the process hone their skills in testing as well as deepen their subject knowledge. This will also benefit schools as teachers will obviously apply their learning,” says Sridhar Rajagopalan director of Educational Initiatives.

As many as 15,000 schools all over India will be sent invitations to enter the ASSET Question Making Competition with the expectation of ten teachers entering from each school. Teachers can log on to www.ei-india.com for registration and further information.
