Eighty-two school-leavers tutored by the Perungudi (Chennai)-based Everonn Toppers — a division of Everonn Education Ltd, India’s second largest publicly listed education company — have qualified for admission into the country’s 15 prestigious IITs (Indian Institutes of Technology) following their success in the IIT-JEE (joint entrance examination) 2011, written by 472,000 students across the country, of whom 9,618 will be admitted.
“This is a happy moment for Everonn Toppers. Of the 82 students who have qualified for admission, one has an all-India ranking (AIR) of 64, and 23 are ranked among the top 1,000,” says M.V. Reddy, chief executive officer of Everonn Toppers which operates 35 learning centres in major cities including Chennai, Delhi, Hyderabad and Mumbai.
Everonn Toppers offers classroom-based training for competitive entrance exams such as IIT-JEE, AIEEE and scholarship exams like NTSE, Olympiads and KVPY. “We have a unique twin-edge advantage — the most experienced faculty and the largest VSAT education network in the world which enables us to share resources across the country,” says Reddy.
