On 1st May 2018 Tuesday, Gyan Ganga International School organized a workshop on ‘Bloom’s Taxonomy & Evaluation of Class-X & XII answers books’, under the five days training programme from JSSC (1st May to 5th May 2018). The aim of organizing this workshop was to make the knowledge of the teachers more crystal clear and to make them aware about the revised Bloom’s Taxonomy that will help the evaluators to frame the question paper more balanced and it should contain all the categories of tools that are required to test the knowledge of the child.
The resource person for this outstanding workshop was JSSC Chairperson Dr. Rajesh Kumar Chandel School Principal GGIS. The programme started with the lightening of traditional Jyot of GGIS and worshiping Goddess Saraswati. The first phase of workshop started with the discussion on Bloom’s Taxonomy and the revised Bloom’s Taxonomy in details. All the steps involved in Bloom’s Taxonomy was discussed in details which included remembering, understanding, applying, analyzing, evaluating and creating. Number of activities and handouts made the session more interesting and clear.
The resource person made the workshop interesting by making it interactive. The handouts make the topic clearer. The second phase of the workshop was based on the evaluation of answer books of Class-X and XII. The foremost aim of this phase was to make the evaluators more aware about the points to keep in mind while they evaluate the answer books of the students. Different types of questions and their evaluation were discussed through various handouts and was explained by the resource person.
The teachers, coordinators, head of the department from various CBSE schools found the workshop most beneficial and fruitful one as the resource person help them to brush their previous knowledge and update them with the revised changes. Nearly 90 participants from 44 different schools made their knowledge crystal clear and participated enthusiastically.
In the end the resource person was appreciated by each and every participants for making the topic more interesting and helping them to widen their knowledge beyond the limits.
