On 09th May 2018 the finals of JDBA Open Badminton Tournament was played at GGIS under the ongoing tournament. The closing ceremony of this tournament was graced by Hon’ble Director of Gyan Ganga Int. School Dr. Nitin Jain & Mrs. Nitika Jain, Principal Dr. Rajesh Kumar Chandel, N Subramani, Sudhir Khandelwal, S. Pranjali & Umpire Ankit Chouksey, Gyanbhushan Dubey and Sports Incharges Nitendra Singh Thakur, Basim Khan, Raveena Patel and various other distinguished personalities of sports and parents of the participants. The players who made up to the finals in both the categories boys U-13, 15 & 17 and Girls U- 15 & 19 were congratulated by the chief guest of the day and were motivated to play with true team and sports men spirit. 

Speaking on the occasion school Principal Dr. Rajesh Kumar Chandel once again welcomed all the players, coaches, and referees and congratulated them for the successful completion of the tournament. He also appreciated the sports club members of GGIS for organizing the tournament and developing in the players the quality of true sportsmen spirit and inculcating in them the love towards indoor sports activities. 

Final matches were played between the semi finalists under following categories– 

Under-15 Girls Aadhya Dhagat Vs Kalyani Singh in which Kalyani Singh won the match. Under-19 Girls Nidhi Gidronia Vs Kalyani Singh in which Kalyani Singh won the match. 

In the same sequence of Boys categories under-13 Sumit Beohar Vs Suyash Sharma in which Sumit Beohar won the match. Under -15 Himanshu Khandelwal Vs Bhuvan Chandra in which Bhuvan Chandra won the match. Under-17 Bhuvan Chandra Vs Hrishabh Khandelwal in which Bhuvan Chandra won the match. 

At the end in the felicitation function the winners were applauded and were handed over with trophy’s, medals and cash prizes of worth Rs. 3000/-, 2500/- & 1500/- respectively for their outstanding performance. Appreciation awards/ certificates were given to participants. Players in the end expressed their heartfelt thanks to the management of GGIS and JDBA for giving them the opportunity to perform their potentials. For a making this tournament a grand success in the end heartfelt thanks were given to Sports Incharge Mr. Nitendra Singh Thakur, Mr. Basim Khan, Raveena Patel & other members of Gyan Ganga family.
