Overview
Shishukunj international school (SIS) Indore is a coeducational English medium senior secondary school founded in 2005 by the Shishukunj International Society, London. The school is affiliated with the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), New Delhi and sprawls across a 20 acre campus away from the din and bustle of the city. According to a school spokesperson, “Shishukunj is committed to enriching students with various soft skills apart from a judicious mix of academics, sporting and co-curricular activities that lead to happier and successful lives”.
Campus
The 20 acre campus features modern classrooms equipped with audio/visual aids and large display boards, well stocked and spacious libraries with e-library facility, language and subject labs, computer labs, dining halls, indoor sports complex, amphitheater, and an audio visual complex.
The school also offers excellent facilities for sports such as athletics, aquatics, cricket, football, tennis, table tennis, skating, badminton, squash, aerobics, etc. To promote co curricular activities the school hosts studios for art & craft, music, theatre and facilities for sculpture, pottery and other handicrafts.
Academics
The school is affiliated with CBSE and prepares students for the class X and class XII CBSE Board examinations. The school follows the Continuous and Comprehensive Evaluation (CCE) mode of assessing students in class X.
Extracurricular:
Holistic development of the students being the primary aim of the school, it promotes a variety of extracurricular activities such as art & craft, music and movement theatre, sculpture, pottery and other handicrafts. Debates, drama, elocution, poetry etc are also encouraged. Sports activities such as athletics, aquatics, cricket, football, tennis, table tennis, skating, badminton, squash, aerobics, etc. form an indispensible part of the curriculum and are practiced with great enthusiasm.
