Overview
Founded in 1961, the National Institute of Design (NID) is an autonomous Film School with campuses in Ahmedabad, Gandhinagar, and Bengaluru. The institute functions as an autonomous body under the Department of Industrial Policy and Promotion, Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Government of India.
NID is recognised by the Department of Scientific and Industrial Research under Ministry of Science and Technology, Government of India, as a scientific and industrial design research organisation.
Campus
NID Ahmedabad campus hosts world class infrastructure with all the modern amenities.
Academics
The institute offers three main courses, all of which follow the two semester per year pattern. They are:
Graduate Diploma Programme in Design (GDPD)
Bachelor of Design (B.Des)
Master of Design (M.Des)
Admission
Admission begins in the second week of October every year.
Fees - Tuition fee for Indian citizens is as follows:
B.Des – 109500/- per semester
M. Des – 134500/- per semester
