Overview
The LNM Institute of Information Technology (LNMIIT), Jaipur was established as a public-private partnership between the Lakshmi Niwas Mittal and Usha Mittal Foundation and the state government of Rajasthan. The institute was founded in 2002 and the first batch of 29 undergraduate students graduated in 2007. LNMIIT is a deemed university.
The institute offers degree programmes in Communication and Computer Engineering (CCE), Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE), Computer Science Engineering (CSE), Engineering Physics (EP), Mathematics and IT (MIT) and Mechatronics Engineering (ME).
Campus
The institute is located on a 100-acre campus. Academic infrastructure includes classrooms, two large lecture halls, six small lecture halls, six tutorial rooms, four seminar room, a well stocked library, two large computer labs and a small computer lab.
The campus also hosts a physics lab, three electronics labs, an English lab, a large dining hall, a guest house, hostels for boys and girls, an open air theater, a food court, temple and a well equipped sports complex.

Admission
Undergraduate Programmes
Students can apply for admission to undergraduate programmes online. Candidates thus become registered applicants and are given a username and password and an online application is sent to their email-id. Students can then log into their account, fill the application form and make a payment of Rs.1,400/, foreign nationals/NRIs should pay USD 30, online using debit card / credit card / net-banking.
OR
Candidates can also apply through a demand draft drawn in favor of The LNM Institute of Information Technology payable at Jaipur and write their name, mobile number and username on the reverse of the demand draft and send it to LNMIIT. Candidates must include the required demand draft details in the online application form and submit the online form on or before June 15.
Candidates can then fill the Joint Entrance Examination (Main) All India Rank details once the results are announced, by logging in to their account, through the online admission portal. JEE is conducted by CBSE (Central Board of Secondary Education).
Admissions are conducted through three different channels
Candidates should have appeared for JEE (Main) and should have secured at least 60 percent aggregate marks in class X & 1class XII (with physics, chemistry, mathematics, and English) from any recognized board in the country
Foreign Nationals / NRIs should have a minimum total valid score of 1440 in SAT Subject Tests (Subjects: mathematics Level 2, physics and chemistry). SAT subject test score has to be sent directly through College Board to LNMIIT. The candidate should also have secured at least 60 percent aggregate marks or equivalent in classes X and XII
The institute currently allows direct admission for boys with top 10 ranks and girls with top 20 ranks in the senior secondary exam (class XII) conducted by the Rajasthan Board of Secondary Education (RBSE).
Postgraduate Programs
Admission to the M.Tech program is based on the performance in the undergraduate qualifying examination, GATE score, and overall academic record of candidates. In addition, some of the candidates may also be called for written tests and/or interviews.
Admission to the M.S. and PhD programmes is based on written tests, interviews and/or GATE score.
The applicants for M.Tech and M.S. must have a bachelor's degree in engineering or a Master's degree in science with minimum 60 percent/6.5 CPI (on a 10 point scale).
The applicant for PhD should have a Master's degree in engineering or a Master's degree in relevant subject with minimum 60 percent/6.5 CPI (on a 10 point scale). Exceptional candidates with a bachelor's degree in engineering are also considered. For humanities and social sciences the applicant should have a Master's degree in the relevant subject with minimum 55 percent marks.
