Overview
Tender Feet Nursery School was established in 1995 with the objective of providing a learning environment for every child to develop emotionally, socially and physically. The school’s three year program offers an informal learning environment which helps develop intellectual responses and socially acceptable behaviour among children in their formative years.
According to Ms. Anu Khurana, director, Tender Feet Education Society, a child learns fastest from birth to five and the Tender Feet Nursery School provides high-quality, wholesome education delivered by professionals within a homely, healthy and happy atmosphere.
The school’s mission is “to nurture happy and confident children who will grow up to be good citizens of the country”.
Campus
Tender Feet offers air conditioned classrooms, a spacious auditorium to host cultural programs and a well stocked library. The campus also has a play ground with swings and slides, a splash pool, a sports ground and a role play area. Tender Feet Nursery also offers toilet training to children and has a doctor facility. The school offers transportation service in an air conditioned vehicle.
Academics
The curriculum is designed keeping in mind the school motto "A healthy mind in a healthy body”. A typical school day starts with songs, aerobics, yoga and prayers. Apart from formal education, the curriculum includes word recognition and develops children’s motor skills and encourages participation in drama and singing activities. Adequate time is also provided for physical activity in the outdoor play area hosting swings and slides.
Pedagogies followed are a combination of the Montessori method and "Exercises of Practical Life" (EPL) comprising activities related to everyday life such as in a kitchen, drawing, medical, dressing rooms etc. Student-teacher ratio is 12:1.

Festivals - Major festivals of all religions are celebrated with enthusiasm to help children learn about traditions.
Activity of the Month - Every month the school engages children in a different activity such as visit by a potter, making sandwiches, baking cookies, magic show, a watermelon party, fancy dress etc.
Excursions -- Visit to the Railway Museum, the Deer Park or a visit to a farm for nature study, local milk dairy and post office are organised.
Sports Day - The school’s sports day is a grand annual event and combines an annual award ceremony.
Ram Lila - The culmination of whole month’s hard work by children and teachers, Ram Lila features the story of Lord Ram during Dusshera.
Admission
Admissions are open throughout the year. The school admits children above the age of 18 months.
