Overview
Suncity World School, Sector 54, Gurgaon is a coeducational day school affiliated with the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), New Delhi, the University of Cambridge International Examinations (CIE) and the International Baccalaureate Organisation (IBO), Geneva. The school was established in 2005 with an aim to provide a challenging and supportive environment for the academic and personal development of the children.
The school aims to build the child’s confidence and self-esteem and offers a strong developmental programme where integrated studies and hands-on participation inspire a love for learning and accomplishment along with encouragement for self-discipline, creativity, independence of thought and tenacity of purpose with the understanding that both success and failure are necessary for learning.
Campus
The 5.5 acre school campus hosts a well-stocked library, a well equipped infirmary and activity centres for music and dance. The school also has a multimedia room and an auditorium with a seating capacity of 800. There are state-of-the-art laboratories - language lab, math lab, social science lab, multiple intelligences development centre and a multimedia lab.
The sports infrastructure includes facilities for rock climbing, swimming, athletics, hockey, martial arts, gymnastics, skating, yoga, chess, basket ball, cricket, soccer, swimming, lawn and table tennis, taekwondo, badminton and squash. There is a fully equipped gym too.
Accomodation
Being a day school, Suncity World School does not offer accommodation facility, but it has day boarding facilities with extended hours.
Academics
Affiliated with the CBSE, CIE and IBO, Suncity World School offers classes from pre-primary through senior secondary level. The school believes that learning is about curiosity and hence focuses on the acronym ASK to define its methodology. A stands for Application, S stands for Skill and K for Knowledge. The school believes that learning is complete when all three are integrated into teaching to achieve holistic development. The school appoints faculty who teach out of love and passion for teaching children. The class strength is 24 students per class and the teacher student ratio is 1:10.
According to the school, the students are encouraged to take their own initiative, develop individuality and try independent learning with a strong desire to think critically. The faculty helps design the school curriculum and delivers the same using world-class teaching methodology. Monthly educational trips reinforce the theoretical aspect of learning.
Extracurriculars
Students learn music and dance; they are exposed to a variety of dance forms including Indian classical and contemporary, western classical, hiphop, ballroom and contemporary. They are trained in Hindustani classical, Western and folk music.
Students participate in a number of literary activities and competitions. They also learn painting, sculpture and installation art.

Admission
Parents need to obtain the prospectus with the application form and submit the duly filled application form along with the previous class/ present class performance profile, and a copy of the birth certificate. If the child is selected for admission, the fee payments should be made immediately.
Forms are issued from September for the following academic year. Parents are invited to visit the school and take a tour before seeking admission.
