Overview
Started in September 14, 2013, Starkids, Rajarhat, Kolkata is a part of the StarKids chain of preschools run by one of Eastern India’s leading education group that offers various learning programmes for young children. Starkids aims to provide optimal learning environment and a curriculum to foster all round development of a child, including academic achievement and life-skills enrichment.
The Starkids Preschool and Montessori provides high quality and integrated early education for children between 1.5 to 4.5 years and ensures children are better prepared for admission into primary schools, as well as for lifelong learning.
The preschool also offers a teacher training academy in association with the University of Cambridge International Examinations (CIE), UK to impart modern teaching methodologies and best practices to teachers and trainers and help them attain rewarding teaching careers.
Campus
Spread over 7500 square feet, the preschool campus hosts colourful and vibrant classrooms equipped with interactive whiteboards and child friendly furniture, activity area, play area with slides, jungle gym and a wide variety of toys.
Academics
The Starkids curriculum is an amalgamation of the British National Curriculum, Montessori Method, Playway Method and the Theories of Multiple Intelligences and Differentiated Learning Styles with Indian syllabi to create an optimal learning environment for children.
According to a school spokesperson, Starkids offers an exhaustive scope for creative opportunities, rich and stimulating experiences, well-planned play area, scientifically designed programmes, development of communication skills, educational trips to exhibitions, museums, and horticultural gardens, etc and acquaintance with craft, art, music, dance and theatre.
Admission
Parents are requested to meet the concerned person before admission along with the child. A copy of the birth certificate along with three photographs needs to be submitted during the time of admission.
