Overview
St. Germain High School, Bangalore, was established in January 1944 as an unaided minority institution. It is a boys’ school with optional boarding facility. The school is managed by the Archdiocesan Board Of Education, under the chairmanship of the Archbishop of Bangalore.
The school is affiliated to the Council for Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE) New Delhi and offers classes from class I to X. The school prepares its students for the class X ICSE examination. In 2012, the school also started a nursery section which is co-educational.
The school is well-known for fostering excellence in sports, having produced notable sportsmen like Jude Felix, Roger Binny and Syed Kirmani.
Campus
The school is situated in the heart of Bangalore city. Classrooms are housed in a large three-storied building with broad corridors on both sides. Another large building provides a well-furnished library and modern labs. The school also has a garden and playground for various sports.
Academics
The school is affiliated to CISCE. Tech-friendly, multi-pronged teaching methods are used along with traditional methods to ensure holistic development as well as good performance in board exams.
Extracurricular
Students participate in activities such as dramatics, culturals, literary events, NCC and Scouts, debating and the school band. Coaching is provided in athletics (track and field), cricket, basketball, volleyball, hockey, and football. Training in martial arts is also provided.
Admission
Forms for admission into the nursery section and class I are issued in February. Children should be 4 years for admission into LKG and 6 years for class I.

Achievements
The school has represented Karnataka several times in the Nehru Hockey Tournament, and is winner of the B.T. Ramaiah Shield in cricket.
