Overview
St. Angela Sophia Senior Secondary School, Ghat Gate, Jaipur is an all girls day school affiliated with the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), New Delhi. Established originally as a Boarding House in Ajmer to care for Christian orphans, the school is named after the Saint Angela of Merici. The orphanage was shifted to Jaipur on February 25, 1926 as a school and the first day scholar was admitted in 1928, while the orphanage for underprivileged Christian children continues to function. The school however admits children of all creeds.
St. Angela Sophia School is managed by the Mission Sisters of Ajmer and is under the jurisdiction of the Director General / President of Roman Catholic Diocesan Education Society, Ajmer. The school was upgraded to a senior secondary school in July 1989 and received affiliation from the CBSE in 1996.
Campus
The 2.249 acre school campus hosts a library featuring a collection of 4000 books, an auditorium, well equipped labs for computer, physics, chemistry and biology, dance rooms, music rooms, medical infirmary and a playground measuring 1000 square meters.

Being a day school, St Angela Sophia Senior Secondary School does not offer accommodation facility.
Academics
The school follows CBSE curriculum and offers classes from class I to XII. At the kindergarten section, children learn subjects such as English, mathematics, GK, Hindi and drawing while in the primary section the subjects include English, Hindi, mathematics, social studies, science, moral science, GK, drawing, computer, physical education and dance. In the middle section the subjects taught are English, Hindi, mathematics, social studies, science, GK, drawing, computer, Sanskrit, value education, art and craft, music and dance. The secondary section subjects are English, Hindi, mathematics, social studies, science, computer, Sanskrit, value education, physical education, art and craft.
Besides academics, the school has clubs for students of class V to X such as English club, Hindi club, mathematics club, science club, music club, dance club, drawing club, art and craft club, health and wellness club, eco club, NCC club, gardening club, sports club, yoga club and first aid club.
The senior secondary section offers three streams:
Humanities: English elective, Hindi, home science, sociology, political science/entrepreneurship/IP

Admission
Class I admissions:
The age eligibility for admission to class I is 5 years and producing a birth certificate is must.
Admission to other classes is subject to availability and producing birth certificate and transfer certificate from the previous school is compulsory. Only students of recognised institutions are granted admissions.
Class XI admissions:
Students with less than 80 percent marks in science and mathematics are advised not to apply for the science and mathematics stream and admission will depend on the individual student’s character, regularity in attendance, performance and number of seats.
