Overview
Promoted in June 1995, Srishti Montessori School, Chennai aims to offers to offer a stimulating learning experience to children between 2 ½ and 6 years. The school has adopted the Montessori approach to early childhood education and is run by Prathima Muralidhar who holds an International Diploma in Montessori Studies awarded by the Association Montessori Internationale, an organization founded by Dr. Maria Montessori in Netherlands.
Children are given the freedom to explore and choose activities, learning in the process.
Campus
The campus is spacious. The classrooms are large and well-ventilated and offer enough space for each child to work and play. Montessori materials are available to facilitate learning. Children use the apparatus to develop coordination, attention to details and work habits. The learning materials are laid out in the classroom within easy reach of the child.
Academics
The curriculum is Montessori based and includes exercises of practical life, sensorial activities, mathematics, language and culture.
Students are given the opportunity to choose activities, and learn through exploration. They are provided with learning toys and aids and allowed to explore. Teachers guide and facilitate the learning process.
Admission
Srishti Montessori School admits children who are above 2.3 years.
