Overview

Shah Satnam Ji Girls’ School (SSGS), sited on the outskirts of Sirsa city in Haryana is a day-cum-residential school established in 1994 by Saint Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh Ji Insan, the incumbent master of Dera Sacha Sauda (a non-profit spiritual organisation).

 

SSGS was promoted with the aim of providing high-quality pre-nursery - XII education to girl children. Special emphasis is placed on delivering values and life skills combined with spiritual education in a tranquil and pollution-free environment. The school is particularly reputed for its sporting achievements and boasts within its students’ community 31 international-level and more than 200 national-level sportspersons apart from 45 national medal holders.

Campus

SSGS’ 3.94-acre campus in Sirsa comprises a 144-room academic block which houses contemporary classrooms equipped with the latest audio-visual learning equipment. Academic facilities include 14 well-equipped laboratories for physics, chemistry, biology, geography, math, music, physical education, computer science, and   English language.

 

Currently the school’s library has a collection of 5,000 books, and subscribes to 15 leading national newspapers, and ten education magazines and journal subscriptions. The school also hosts well-illuminated reading rooms for students.

 

Sports facilities include a modern gymnasium, shooting range, racing track, table and lawn tennis, volleyball, handball, badminton and basketball courts, and hockey, football and cricket fields. The school also hosts its own swimming and diving pool, roller skating rink, and a state-of-the-art indoor multi-sports stadium of international standards.

 

Students are provided hygienically prepared nutritious food.  

Accomodation

SSGS provides accommodation on campus to 636 students. The Shah Satnam Ji Balika Ashram offers 294 spacious and airy dormitories with 24-hours security and electricity back-up apart from a range of recreational facilities. 

Academics

Shah Satnam Ji Girls’ School is affiliated with the Delhi-based Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE). At SSGS, half yearly examinations are scheduled for the first week of October and final exams in March. Pre-board examinations for classes X and XII are held in February.

 

The school organises training workshops and seminars for overall development of its students and teachers. Eminent educationists and renowned personalities are invited as guest speakers.

 

Extracurricular activities:

 

The school offers a range of extra-curricular activities which include music, dance, dramatics and public speaking, among others. 

Admission

Admission into SSGS is subject to availability of seats in classes starting from pre-nursery to IX and XI. No admission is allowed in classes X and XII. An admission registration form along with the school prospectus can be purchased from the school and submitted together with the necessary documents such as original birth certificate, latest report card copy, etc.

 

Parents are advised to read the rules and regulations written in the prospectus before submitting the form. Admissions are strictly based on the student’s performance in an entrance test conducted every Sunday between January to April for which the qualifying score is 60 percent. Qualifying students will be required to submit the fees within 15 days after declaration of result.

 

Fee structure

A copy of the fee structure with due dates, mode of payment and fine is distributed to parents and is available at the reception. Fees can be deposited by cash/DD/cheque on a quarterly or half-yearly basis as per the convenience of the parents.

 

Fine will be charged on a day-to-day basis on fee and all other sums due. This rule is intended only to create discipline and to protect the parents who pay fees on time.

 

For re-admission the student has to conform to all the rules and regulations set for fresh admission.

 

If the parents withdraw their ward, fees will be refunded proportionately as per rule.

 

There is a fee concession provision for the poor as per CBSE norms.
