Overview
Founded in 2005, Saveetha University, Chennai, is a top ranked private university in Tamilnadu. The university boasts eight schools of study - Saveetha Dental College, Saveetha School of Management, Saveetha School of Law, Saveetha School of Engineering, Saveetha School of Physiotherapy, Saveetha School of Nursing, Saveetha Medical College and Saveetha Engineering College.
While the first three schools of study are located in Poonamalle, the remaining five are located in Thandalam. Saveetha Engineering College is affiliated with the Anna University.

Campus
Saveetha University boasts two campuses - one in Poonamalle and the other at Thandalam. The campus hosts two libraries, twelve labs, six dining halls and a coffee shop.The hostels are Wi Fi enabled and the security system is very strong. Other facilities include well equipped modern classrooms and seminar halls . Transportation facility is also available which makes it very convenient for the students to stay at the university campus.
Accomodation
Both the Poonamalle and Thandalam campuses have excellent hostel facilities with spacious rooms and WiFi network. There are four types of hostel rooms for students:
1) Four in one AC rooms
2) Four in one non-AC rooms
3) Two in one rooms
4) One in one rooms

Admission
Candidates need to clear the Savitha Engineering Entrance (SEE) exam to apply to different engineering courses at Saveetha University. All questions are multiple choice questions. No negative marks for wrong answers.
