Overview
Established in 2004, Sat Paul Mittal School is a coeducational day school located in Ludhiana, Punjab. It was founded by educationist Late Shree Prem Nath Gupta, with the objective of imparting quality education to the children of Ludhiana. The school boasts 1330 students from kindergarten to class XII and teaching staff strength of 95. It follows a teacher student ratio of 1:14
Campus
The 3.09 acre school campus hosts a well-planned, scientifically designed building with state-of-the-art facilities. The 56 classrooms are spacious and equipped with ICT teaching-learning facilities. The school houses 11 laboratories for different subjects equipped with the latest instruments, gadgets, charts and models. The school library offers 16,000 books, 40 magazine and 11 newspaper subscriptions. The school also hosts smart classes, wi-fi enabled campus with 108 computers, play station, music and art rooms, book depot, canteen, transport and infirmary.
Accomodation
Being a day school, it does not provide accommodation facility.
Academics
The school is affiliated with the Council for the Indian School Certificate Examination (CISCE), New Delhi which administers two Board examinations - the Indian Certificate of Secondary Education (ICSE) examination at the end of class X and the Indian School Certificate (ISC) examination at the end of class XII.
The curriculum is grouped into Pre-primary (Pravesh Vatika and Upavan), Junior School (class I to V) and Senior School (Classes VI to XII). The pre-primary and junior school offers a flexible curriculum without formal examinations. The evaluation and assessments are done on the basis of a child’s overall performance in the class.
The school allocates an average of 16 days every academic year for teaching training programmes.
Extra-curricular activities:
The school encourages students to develop their interest in photography, sculpture, art and craft, robotics, vedic maths, speakers forum, theater club, gardening, eco club, western band, Indian music, classical dance, contemporary dance, chess club and home science club.
The school also hosts facilities for sports such as cricket, football, hockey, billiards, lawn tennis, swimming, skating, volley ball, yoga, squash and basketball.
Admission
The minimum age for admission at Sat Paul Mittal School is 3.5 years. An interactive session with the parents and the child is conducted at the time of admission to Pravesh Vatika. For admission to Upavan to class IX, a written test is conducted.
The registration form is available at the school office and also available online at www.satpaulmitttalschool.org. It needs to be duly filled in and submitted with all the required documents within the stipulated date.
