Overview
Salt Lake School, Kolkata, is a co-educational, English medium day school. It was established in 1979 to cater to the education needs of the multi-lingual population of the city’s Salt Lake City suburb. The school is affiliated to the Council of the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE).

Campus

Academics
The Salt Lake School is affiliated with CISCE, New Delhi. The school offers classes from pre-primary to class XII. The students are encouraged to explore and learn through hands-on activities. The focus is on understanding and applying concepts rather than rote learning.
Extracurricular:
It offers sports and games such as cricket, volleyball, kabaddi, basketball, athletics and throwball. The Music Club, Drama and Recitation Club provides opportunities to learn music, participate in drama, debates, elocution, etc.

Admission
For admission to pre-primary (LKG), the child must be 4 years old. For admissions from class II to class VII, announcement will be made on the school notice board in the last week of March, depending on vacancies.
Application forms are usually distributed in August/September.
For class XI, the admission forms are distributed after the ICSE class X results are out. The candidates will be selected based on merit.
