Founded in 1995, Satyajit Ray Film and Television Institute (SRFTI) is a film and television institute located in Kolkata, West Bengal. SRFTI operates under The Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Government of India. The institute has been named after acclaimed film director Satyajit Ray.

Library
Main Theatre (370 seats), a Preview Theatre (72 seats) as well as an Open Air Theatre with seating capacity of over 500 with 35mm, 16mm and Video projection facilities.
Classroom Theatre equipped with home theatre and other modern amenities.
A film library which houses a rich collection of Indian and foreign films.
The Boys’ & Girls’ Hostels are equipped with all modern amenities.
SRFTI also hosts a well-furnished guest house.

SRFTI provides separate accommodation facility for boys and girls.

Admission
Candidates need to apply for the entrance examination through the online application system of the institute. The online application allows the candidate to provide all required information and also to upload a scanned photograph and certificates in support of reservation.
