Overview
Founded in 1983, Ramrao Adik Institute of Technology (RAIT) is a private engineering college and a constituent institute of the DY Patil Educational Academy. The institute is approved by the government of Maharashtra and is recognised by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). The institute is affiliated with the University of Mumbai. The Electronics, and Electronics and Telecommunications departments have been approved by the National Board of Accreditation (NBA).
Campus
The 2.7 acre RAIT campus hosts well equipped class rooms, well-stocked air-conditioned library, well equipped computer labs, a fully air-conditioned auditorium with a seating capacity of 750, well-equipped hospital, and a 25-acre playing field.

Admission
80 percent of the seats are allotted through the centralised admission system and 20 percent of the seats are allotted at the institute level for all courses.
The minimum eligibility criteria for direct admission into Second Year of Engineering is a first class (60 percent and above) in the diploma level course of Engineering.
