Overview
Founded in 1998, the Ram Ratna Vidya Mandir (RRVM) is an ISO 9001:2008 certified residential school for boys, offering education from class IV to class XII. It is an initiative of Uttan Vivdh Lakshyee Shikshan Sanstha (UVLSS), a registered charitable body. Affiliated to Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), New Delhi, RRVM aims “to develop socially conscious Indian citizens of tomorrow who will provide enlightened leadership in all walks of life.”
The school follows continuous and comprehensive evaluation for students of all classes. To provide in-depth understanding of the subjects and to develop creativity amongst the students, modern techniques of teaching and learning such as learning by doing, project work, discussions, library consultations and use of audio visual teaching aids are used.
Campus
RRVM boasts well-equipped independent laboratories for physics, chemistry, biology, and mathematics and computer science. The library provides a large collection of books, CDs, DVDs and reference material for research and analysis. The school has an indoor auditorium with a state of the art stage and seating capacity of 1000 children. Other facility offerings include playground for all major outdoor sports, indoor games and swimming pool for young kids, a health care room and round the clock electricity supply.
Accomodation
Being a residential school, RRVM provides excellent boarding facility. The hostel boasts spacious well ventilated dormitories, each of which can accommodate 10/12 children.
Academics
RRVM follows the curriculum prescribed by CBSE, New Delhi, and admits students from class IV to class XII. The school offers science and commerce streams at the higher secondary level, where students have a second language choice between Sanskrit and Hindi.
Extracurricular: The school encourages and facilitates sports activities such as football, hockey, handball, volleyball, Kabaddi, athletics, swimming and indoor games like chess, carom and table tennis. The school has a tie-up with Nrityanjali Institute of Performing Arts, Education, Personality Development and Management Services, which is actively involved in arranging various workshops for students and teachers throughout the year to enhance their skills.
Admission
Application form for admission can be obtained from the school office or downloaded from the school website. Candidates are required to submit previous class progress report and medical history along with the duly filled forms. Entrance exams are conducted before admissions based on NCERT books of the relevant classes, which are followed by interview by a panel of experts and counselor. For grades IV to VII assessment is done for English, Hindi and mathematics while for grades VIII and IX, assessment is done for English, Hindi, mathematics, science and social science. Registration fee of Rs. 3,000 needs to be paid at the time of registration and admission fee of Rs. 30,000 and refundable caution deposit of Rs. 50,000 needs to be paid at the time of admission.
Fees: The composite annual fee including boarding charges varies from Rs. 1, 10,000 to Rs. 1, 30,000.
