Overview
P. Obul Reddy Public School, Hyderabad, was promoted by the Andhra Mahila Sabha in 1989. The school started with student strength of around 35 from lower kindergarten to class III and 3 staff members; today it boasts a student strength of 2500 and staff strength of 120 supported by 30 office and subordinate staff. It is located in a sprawling 5 acre plot in Jubilee Hills and is named after P. Obul Reddy, a philanthropist.
P. Obul Reddy Public School is a co-educational day school affiliated with the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), New Delhi, and offers classes from nursery to class XII.
Campus
The school campus sprawls over 5 acres and hosts a world class infrastructure, including a a well stocked library, a computer laboratory, fully equipped science laboratories, canteen, well ventilated classrooms, play area and a sports facilities. The school also provides transport facility for students and staff members.
Academics
The school follows the CBSE curriculum and offers subjects like English, Hindi/Sanskrit or Telugu, mathematics, social science, general science, general knowledge, value education, clay modeling/ computer education, art education including drawing, painting, music and dance, physical and health education and gymnastics.
The academic year is divided into two terms and evaluation during the two terms is done as per the norms laid by CBSE.

Admission
Registrations for enrollment to nursery, LKG, UKG and class I commence in December and for all other classes, registrations begin in March.

U.K.G - 4 years as on March 31 of the year of admission
Class I - 5 years as on March 31 of the year of admission
Achievements
The children of the subordinate staff are provided free education by the school and scholarships are extended to academically brilliant and economically weak students. The school also pro-actively lends a helping hand to victims of natural calamities as part of its community service programme.
