Overview
Oi Playschool at HSR Layout, Bangalore was set up with the objective of providing quality early years education that enables holistic development at an early age. The preschool is committed to preparing the child for a life beyond school rather than examining how well the students have learnt the curriculum.
Campus
OIPS adheres to the high infrastructure standards which distinguish the Oakridge schools. The infrastructure is designed to meet three critical aspects of a preschool – aesthetically designed child space, child-friendliness and functionality. Colourful ambience, child appropriate teaching and learning aids, safe and hygienic environment supports child development.
The OIPS provides students a ‘WOW’ kit - a collection of specialised play and learning equipment which are skillfully mapped to the curriculum delivery process.
Academics
OIPS caters to the learning needs of children of five age groups - Infants, Toddlers, Nursery, PP 1 and PP 2.
The school follows the Sparkz Model to inculcate ‘Love for learning’ in each child in the most critical childhood years.
‘SPARKZ’ can be visualised as the centre where the child is standing, with eight spokes of the wheel being the learning outcomes and the four spokes in the outer ring the facilitators motivating the child to achieve new milestones each day.
The teaching methodology followed at OIPS is experiential learning i.e. learning by doing.
Admission
Admissions are open throughout the year. However parents can visit the centre for admission details.
Infant programme is designed for children aged 6 months to 18 months
Toddler programme for children between 1.5 to 2.5 years
Nursery programme for children between 2.5 to 3.5 years
PPI for children between 3.5 to 4.5 years
PP2 for children between 4.5 to 5.5 years
