Overview
New Horizon Public School (NHPS), Bangalore is a coeducational day school affiliated with the Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE), New Delhi. Established in 1970, New Horizon Public School is a unit of New Horizon Educational Institutions of Bangalore.

Campus
The school hosts spacious and well-lit classrooms, well equipped labs for physics, chemistry, biology and computer science, an audio visual room that provides state-of-the-art learning aids to students right from the nursery level, an auditorium, a cyber-center for internet access and multimedia, a music room, a dance room with wooden flooring and mirrored walls.
Other facilities at NHPS include an aerobics room, indoor games room for table tennis, chess and carom and courts for basketball and volleyball. The school also hosts a play area with slides, swings, joy wheel, parallel bars, rope climbing and sand pit.
Accomodation
Being a day school, New Horizon Public School, Bangalore does not offer accommodation facility.
Academics
At the pre-primary level, the school follows the Montessori and Playway methods and experimental learning is imparted by regularly organizing field trips. The pre primary section has an activity room that enables self-directed learning, allowing children to be independent of the teacher. The last working day of each month is the ‘Toy Corner day’ where each child brings a toy from home thereby inculcating the habit of sharing through playing. At higher levels, interactive approach involving discussion, observation, project work and experimentation is followed.
The first language and medium of instruction at NHPS is English, with Hindi/Kannada as second language and from classes V to VIII Kannada/Hindi/Sanskrit are offered as third languages. The core subjects include history, geography, civics, mathematics, science (physics, chemistry and biology), economics and computer application/commercial application. Besides these, there are additional subjects including SUPW and community work, physical education and sports, music and dance.
Students are encouraged to read newspapers and magazines at school to improve general awareness.
The school extensively uses technology in day to day teaching such as overhead projector, video projector, television, tape-recorder and CD player, among others. Computer education is offered to students from class I onwards.
Admission
Registration for admission commences in October/ November every year. For admission in class I and above, students must write an entrance test. Please contact the school office for more information on admissions.
Fees
The school charges a one-time admission fee of INR 20,000 and development fee of INR 20,000. The tuition fee is INR 47,880, exclusive of annual transport, uniform and books.

NHPS boasts academic excellence with 100 percent pass results every year in the class X board examination with more than 98 percent of the students securing first class and distinctions.
