Overview
Founded in 1969 by Dr. R Varadarajan, the president of the school, NES High School, Bhandup, Mumbai is the first institute promoted by the National Education Trust. It is an English medium co-educational school affiliated with the Maharashtra State Board.
The school aims to impart wholesome education and to inculcate in the younger generation a keen sense of enlightened citizenship, discipline, character, team spirit, and dedication.
Campus
The school campus hosts spacious classrooms, well-equipped separate laboratories for Physics, Chemistry and Biology, a well-stocked library featuring books, magazines and periodicals, audio visual centre equipped with latest technology such as LCD projectors, overhead and slide projectors, music and dance academy, multipurpose fully air conditioned auditorium, NES Medical Centre, a clean and well stocked canteen, and facilities for indoor and outdoor games.

The school does not provide accommodation facility.
Academics
Affiliated with the Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education, the school offers classes from pre-primary level through class XII.
Extra-curricular activities
The school encourages students to participate in the school music band, sports, NCC, clubs, photography, and other cultural activities.
Admission
Students seeking admission to the school for the first time are required to produce his/her date of birth certificate issued by the competent authority and or leaving certificate from a duly recognised school.
Every student at the time of admission needs to pay an admission fee equivalent to the monthly tuition fee.
Entrance test is conducted for all the children seeking admission to the school.
