Overview
Mussoorie International School is located in the pristine hills of Mussorie. It is a leading school for girls established in 1984 by K. H. Rawal. It has students from different parts of the world, Asia (Thailand, Nepal, Singapore, and Bangladesh), North America, Europe, Far East and Australia. The school offers a blend of the ancient and modern educational system.
The girls are not only trained in academics, sports and co-curricular but also in values and etiquette.
Campus
The 40 acre school campus is situated in Garhwal Hills in Uttarakhand and is covered with pine, deodar and other coniferous trees.
The school campus has state-of-the-art sports facilities with an in house heated swimming pool, four basket ball courts and playgrounds.
The school library has a stock of approximately 5000 books on various subjects, adding new books every year. The students are assisted by librarians to pick the best authors and books. The library also hold regular story telling session for younger children and subscribes to numerous magazines and newspapers. The school has science (physics, chemistry, biology, geography, mathematics and computers) laboratories equipped with latest equipments. The kitchen and dining area of the campus serves vegetarian, nutritious and delicious food to the students.
Accomodation
The boarding houses ensure a homely environment for the wards, with every individual having their own space and modular furnishings. The boarding maintains good hygiene and provides all amenities and conveniences to the students.
Academics
Mussoorie International School is affiliated to Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE), New Delhi, an all India Board and University of Cambridge International Examinations (CIE). It is an all girls’ school with classes from I to XII.
Admission
Admission is open to girls between the ages of 5 to 16 and is strictly on the basis of admission test and previous school transcripts.
Applications are accepted only for children who are registered for the admissions. The children are called for entrance test as and when there are vacancies.
