Overview
Manav Sthali School, New Rajendra Nagar is a coeducational day school affiliated with the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), New Delhi. Dr. V.K. Bhatnagar started Manav Sthali School on October 2, 1957. The school boasts a total number of 2187 students enrolled from class I to XII.
The mission of Manav Sthali School is to impart meaningful and quality education to its students and more than anything else, it emphasizes on holistic education.
Campus
The school campus is spread over 3.178 acres and houses an auditorium, a conference room, facilities for music and dance, fine arts, painting, art and craft and sculpture, labs for multimedia, media studies and fashion studies, a computer complex, a junior science lab, senior science labs for physics, chemistry, biotechnology and biology. The school also hosts a canteen, stationery shop, rain harvesting and paper recycling plants.
The sports and health facilities include a clinic, gymnasium, yoga center, table tennis hall, skating rink, basketball court and an assembly ground equipped with hockey net, football net and volleyball net.
Academics
The school curriculum is based on the guidelines laid down by NCERT and the Directorate of Education, Delhi. From class I to VII, there are no formal examinations and students are evaluated on their class performance, an ongoing process throughout the year. Informal evaluation is conducted only to ensure regularity and progress report is sent thrice a year to the parents.
Subjects taught in classes I to V are English, Hindi, mathematics, science, social science, computer studies, FEIT, life skills, G.A, sports, library and value education. Subjects taught in classes VI and VII are English, Hindi, Sanskrit/French/German, FEIT, mathematics, science (physics, biology and chemistry), social science (history, civics and geography), life skills, computer studies, G.A, sports, library, yoga, music, dance, gym and value education.
CCE begins from class VIII onwards and subjects taught in class VIII are English, Hindi, Sanskrit/French/German, mathematics, science (physics, biology and chemistry), social science (history, civics, geography), computer studies, G.A, sports, library and value education.
Subjects taught in classes IX and X are English, Hindi, Sanskrit/French/German, mathematics, science and technology (physics, biology and chemistry), social science (history, civics, and geography), physical and health education, art education, life skills, work experience (gardening/first aid) and value education.
Students are involved in various activities such as art and craft (specially utilizing waste material), painting, dramatics, music, dance, horse riding, yoga, gym, table tennis and skating. As part of community service, all the students participate in SALD.
In classes XI and XII, all students prepare for the All India Senior School Certificate Examination. At this level, students are offered Science, Commerce and Humanities streams.

Achievements
Manav Sthali School was awarded the UNICEF Trophy for contribution towards Adult Literacy for the year 1996-97 and 1997-98.
Manav Sthali School was also awarded with ‘Sufia Ajmali Memorial Trophy’ by State Resource Centre, Jamia Milia Islamia for six consecutive years from 1990-96 and then in the year 2011 for making maximum illiterates literate.
The school was also awarded a trophy for “Education for All” under National Service Scheme for Distinguished and Commendable Contribution to the society in 1998 lby Dr. Harshvardhan, Minister for Health Educatio.
Manav Sthali has been recognized as Best School of Delhi – 1995 and declared ‘International Standard School’ by World Development Parliament. Manav Sthali School was also selected as of one of the lead schools of Delhi to sensitize the young minds on different aspects of Environmental issues.
For its contribution to the environment, the school was awarded the best Eco- Club (2002-2003) prize by TERI. Manav Sthali School has also been honored by Indian Red Cross Society for promoting Junior Red Cross Programs in schools during the years 1996-97 and 1997-98.
