Overview
Loreto Convent School, sited at Chowk Bazar in Darjeeling was founded in 1846 by the Sisters of Loreto as a day cum boarding school. In October 1996, the school celebrated its one hundred and fifty years of service. It is an all girls school affiliated with the Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE), New Delhi, offering classes from kindergarten through senior secondary. The school takes pride in the fact that Mother Teresa made her noviceship at the school from 1921-1931
Campus
The school building stands out as an architectural marvel amidst verdant surroundings and is divided into junior and senior school with classes from kindergarden to class XII. Academics
The school is affiliated to CISCE and prepares students for the Indian Certificate of Secondary Education (ICSE) and Indian School Certificate (ISC) examinations at the end of class X and class XII respectively.
