Overview
Founded 37 years ago with two children, Little Bo Peep School has graduated over 6,000 students thus far. The preschool considers play as a crucial approach to stimulate intellectual capacities of children in the age group of 1 ½ years to 4 years thereby helping the physical, social and aesthetic development of a child.
Little Bo Beep’s primary objective is to stimulate a child's intelligence by supplementing traditional classroom teaching with a variety of learning tools such as PowerPoint presentations, storytelling, dramatic play, singing, creative sessions, puppet shows and sensory materials such as building blocks and jigsaw puzzles.
Campus
The preschool offers well ventilated classrooms, a play area, library, computer lab, cafeteria, splash pool and a ball pool. The school also has brain gym that enhances a child’s reading skills, numerical agility and general knowledge through multi-media lesson plans. The play station houses games, puzzles and toys to build the children’s analytical, numerical and verbal skills.
Academics
Little Bo Peep offers the following programs:
Playgroup
This program emphasizes on developing toddlers’ motor skills through play and introduces them to basic concepts such as shapes, colors, words, etc. through visual aids and oral expression.
Nursery
This program prepares children for regular school by introducing them to reading, writing and number work.
Junior K.G.
In this program individual attention is given to each child's writing skills and number concepts. General knowledge and analytical skills are also part of the curriculum along with strong emphasis on social interaction and artistic expression.
The school has an annual sports day, a musical concert and arranges field trips to the zoo, beach, fire station, restaurants and neighboring supermarkets and parks. Little Bo Peep also hosts a yearly event called the Curriculum Project where teachers and parents work together to display models of various learning concepts. Puppet theatre workshops, dog shows and skits are also conducted to entertain and educate children.
Admission
The school’s academic year commences in June and is divided into two terms: June to November and December to May.
Admissions for children between ages of 1.6 years and 4.6 years are open on a first-come-first-serve basis.
