Overview
Founded in 1942, Laxminarayan Institute of Technology, Nagpur is a premier Government aided institute of higher education in the field of chemical engineering and technology. The college is affiliated with the Nagpur University and the courses are approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). This institute has been consistently achieving record placements of above 90 percent every year, the highest recorded in central India. The institute boasts highly qualified faculty actively engaged in training the students in the present context.
The institute was ranked no. 46 in Mint C-Fore Top Government Engineering College Rankings in 2008 and has consistently found its place among the top fifty engineering colleges in India in leading education surveys.
Campus
Spread over 78 acres, the institute campus is located at Amravati Road in the western part of the city and houses well-equipped laboratories, the best library in central India, computer labs with internet facility, hostels, recreation hall, security, canteen, bank and playground.
Accomodation
The school offers separate hostels for boys and girls with all the conveniences. Two dining halls are provided to cater to different palates of the students.

Admission
For admission to any undergraduate course, candidates must have passed class XII examination with physics, chemistry and mathematics as compulsory subjects; and the admissions are done on the basis of MHT-CET entrance test.
For admission to postgraduate courses, candidates should have completed B.Tech course in the relevant stream from any recognized university and should clear the GATE examination.
Fees
Yearly tuition fee of this institute is Rs. 28,000 while hostel fee is Rs. 4000 per year excluding mess charge.
