Overview

Jagadguru Sri Shivarathreeshwara (JSS) Academy of Technical Education, is one of India’s premier engineering institutes located in Noida, Uttar Pradesh. It is affiliated with the Mahamaya Technical University, Noida and was inaugurated by the former president of India, Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam in 1998.

Founded by JSS Mahavidyapeeth of Sri Suttur Veerashimhasana Math, the institute was affiliated with Dr. Bhim Rao Ambedkar University, Agra till 2000. Subsequently it came under the jurisdiction of the Mahamaya Technical University in 2010.

All courses offered at the JSS Academy are approved by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE).

The institute boasts excellent  placement statistics each year with reputed corporate houses. Top -notch companies such as Microsoft, Infosys, IBM, and CSC visit the campus for recruitment drives every year. 

Campus

JSS Academy is is sited in the Gautam Budh Nagar district of Uttar Pradesh. Sprawling over 28 acres, the institute has a built up area of 77,240 sq mts.

The campus hosts a large play ground for sports and games. Facilities for indoor games such as badminton, carom, chess, table tennis and outdoor games such as cricket, football, basketball, volleyball are also available on the campus.

The campus hosts 62 classrooms, 23 tutorial rooms, 10 seminar rooms, a conference room and committee room. Each department has its own laboratory, and there are about 86 labs in all.

The library is fully air-conditioned and well-stocked with about 9000 titles and 70,000 books on various subjects. JSS also offers an auditorium, a gymnasium, a canteen and an essential health centre.

The institute offers accommodation facility for both boys and girls inside the campus. An efficient transport system is also available for students.

Accomodation

JSS Academy offers separate hostel facilities for both boys and girls at the undergraduate level. The allotment of hostel is done on a first-come first-serve basis.

JSS Academy is one of the two off-campus centers of Learning and Education of Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University, Delhi with the Bachelor of Business Administration, Computer Aided Management, and Bachelor of Computer Applications coursed being offered under it.

Admission

Admissions to JSS are made through State Engineering Entrance Test conducted by U.P. Technical University.  The candidate should be a 10+2 pass with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with any one of Chemistry/Biotechnology/Computer Science/Biology.  

Fees:

Tuition fee for UG, B.Tech course is Rs 81,700 while tuition fee for a PG course is about Rs 66,700. The hostel fee amounts to Rs. 65,000 per year, per student.

Achievements

The JSS Science & Technology Entrepreneurs Park (JSS STEP) is a registered society under the Society Registration Act, 1860 that provides value added services to students, unemployed youth, working professionals and aspiring entrepreneurs in the National Capital Region. It is one of only 17 such centers in the country.

JSS Academy has international collaborations with foreign universities and other organizations. A Product Life Cycle Management Competency Centre in collaboration with Ministry of National Education, Government of France and Dassault Systemes, France, has been established to train students in advanced manufacturing technologies.
