Overview
Indus International School, Pune, was established in August 2008 at Mulshi, Pune, by the Indus Trust. The school claims to provide a balanced environment focused on shaping children into leaders of tomorrow by offering comprehensive education through a developmental approach. Founded on the ethos of “In Omnia Paratus” - prepared for all challenges, the Indus International School claims to nurture the leaders of tomorrow through a unique and well-defined curriculum and a dedicated focus on "learning beyond classroom." The medium of instruction is English and the curriculum offered is the International Baccalaureate (IB) Primary Years Programme from prep through grade V, the Middle Years Programme from grade VI through grade VIII, culminating in the University of Cambridge's International Examination in grades IX & X, following which the students are awarded the International Certificate of Education (ICE). The school also has been offering IB Diploma Programme for grades XI and XII from the year 2011.
Indus International School provides a wide array of world-class facilities in academics, sports, IT, and habitat. The sprawling 40-acre campus overlooks the Manas Lake in the city of Pune, one of the fastest developing and cosmopolitan cities in the country.

Campus
Spread across a sprawling 40-acre plot, the Indus International School houses four academic blocks, a large integrated sports complex, a state-of-the-art resource centre, modern labs, two libraries, and a Wi-fi enabled campus.
The classrooms are spaciously designed to seat 25 students, and are equipped with play areas for pre-school, projection systems, computer facilities and lockers. The integrated sports complex comprises an indoor-stadium, an outdoor track and a field stadium. The amphitheatre has a capacity to seat over 1000 students.
Accomodation
Separate residential facilities are provided for boys and girls based on the 'house' concept. Each hostel is under the close supervision of an experienced houseparent. Every living room module is based on semi-independent cabins.
Academics
The school claims to offer a curriculum with the right mix of academics, creativity and character in order to equip students with the knowledge, skills and capabilities required to face the challenges and competitive environment of the twenty first century. According to a school spokesperson, “This approach nurtures the specific talents of the student and learning becomes fun.”
Students are provided orientation to familiarize them with emerging technologies and relevant issues. Bio technology, graphics, internet, ecology, entrepreneurship and bio-diversity are integrated into the curriculum. Community-based activities form part of school learning, to build qualities of citizenship, compassion and empathy.
Admission
Admissions to Indus International School are subject to vacancies in the respective grades and based on a written test from grade VI above. Admission tests for grade VI and above are held on all working days and assess the students on English, maths and science. The outcome of the tests is usually announced on a working day within a week.
Those seeking admission to the primary years (prep I & II) are interviewed by the grade teacher to ascertain their readiness for a particular grade. For grades I to V, admissions are based on the last 2 years' academic year reports/ performance.
The registration form can be downloaded from the school’s website. The duly filled form needs to be submitted with Rs. 10,000/- in cash or demand draft, drawn in favour of "Indus International School Pvt Ltd", prior to taking the admission test. The registration form must be accompanied by reports of scholastic achievement from the school last attended.
