Overview
The Indian School of Business (ISB), Hyderabad is sited on a 260 acre campus in Gachibowli amidst verdant surroundings. It was founded by senior executives of McKinsey & Company to cater to the need for a world-class business school in Asia and is funded entirely by private corporations, foundations, and individuals from around the world. The postgraduate programme was launched in 2001 with the first batch of 128 students.
The Indian School of Business (ISB) boasts an excellent placement track record with one of the best and brightest pools of management talent across the world. The entire placement process at ISB is professionally conducted, spanning three-to-four months.
In 2008, ISB became the youngest and the first Indian business school to bag a place among the top 20 business schools globally and since then it has been consistently ranked among the global top 20 B-schools by the Financial Times. It was ranked third in the Business India B-schools survey in 2011.
Campus
The Indian School of Business (ISB), Hyderabad is sited on a 260 acre campus in Gachibowli amidst verdant surroundings. The campus hosts state-of-the-art infrastructure including lecture theaters equipped with broadband communications network, ensuring global connectivity with audio-video conferencing facility, such as projectors, LCDs, fixed cameras, and touchpad systems, making the learning process fun and interactive.
The institute library is known as learning resource center (LRC); it provides students with a wide range of printed and electronic information. An open air Atrium, a social hub in the campus for students, shops, dining hall, and bank with an ATM, documentation center, bookstore, mailroom, coffee shop, travel and desk are among several other facilities.
The institute hosts world class sport facilities such as swimming pool, fitness center, courts for badminton, squash, table tennis, lawn tennis, volleyball, and basketball. The campus also houses a billiards room, a football field, a children’s play area and toddlers’ room.
Accomodation
The institute hostel can accommodate 130-210 students in a mix of four bedroom and studio serviced apartments. The apartments are air-conditioned, furnished and equipped with cable connection, voice and data ports for telephone, campus LAN, and the Internet.
