Overview
India International School (IIS), Jaipur was started in July 1990 under the aegis of the Indian Council for International Amity (ICFIA) which also runs the International College for Girls and India International Institute of Management. The school is affiliated to the New Delhi-based Central Board of Secondary Education and the UK-based Cambridge International Examinations.
The school is set in a pollution-free, green locale in Mansarovar, with world-class infrastructure. IIS encourages student participation in a number of extracurricular activities and International Youth Exchange Programmes.
Currently the school boasts 2,250 students on its muster rolls. IIS offers education from kindergarten to class XII with students given the option of choosing to write CBSE’s board exams or CIE’s O and A levels at the end of class X and XII.
Campus
IIS is sited on a green campus in Mansarovar. The school is housed within a spacious multi-storied oval shaped building.
The library is fully computerized and subscribes to various national and international magazines, periodicals and journals. The school laboratories are well-equipped. Different labs for fashion technology, bio technology, mathematics, information technology, multimedia, physics, chemistry, biology, and home management are provided.
The school has 2 well-equipped and air conditioned audio-visual halls that are used for screening video films, holding lectures and organising class activities and audio recordings.
The school also has a large playground surrounded by plants and trees with facilities for various sports like cricket and badminton.
There is a swimming pool in the IIIM (India International Institute of Management) campus nearby, which the students use.
Academics
The school is affiliated to the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) and the University of Cambridge - Local Examination Syndicate. It is also permanently recognized by the Director of Primary & Secondary Education, Rajasthan and is a member of the International Schools Association-Geneva, European Council of International Schools, U.K. and National Progressive Schools Conference, New Delhi.

Students from classes I – III have no formal examinations. Students in class IV and V are assessed through grades.
The school encourages close interaction between the faculty and the students. Faculty development programmes are organised.
Extracurricular
The school places emphasis on co-curricular activities. Poetry recitation, dance, music, debates, elocution and quiz competitions are held regularly. Sports and games such as cricket, basketball, badminton, swimming, chess and table tennis are also encouraged.
Students can also become members of the Scouts and Guides, or National Cadet Corps (NCC).
Admission
New admissions are made only when there is vacancy available, and are strictly on merit basis.
Achievements
IIS is a recipient of the ‘1st Excellence in Computer Literacy Award’ conferred by the ministry of information and broadcasting. It is the only education institution in Rajasthan licensed by Microsoft to provide unlimited access to all its software.
