Overview
Gyan Ganga International School (GGIS), Jabalpur (Madhya Pradesh) is a co-educational English medium school promoted in 2000 by D. C. Jain, a engineer-turned-educationist, Shri Nitin Jain (Executive Director), Shri Rajneet Jain (Director), Shri Bhartesh Bharill (Secretary), Shri Viny Raj Modi (Vice Chairman), Dr. Rajesh Kumar Chandel (Principal/Hon. Secretary). The school is an ISO 9001-2008 Certified Unique International Institute situated near Bypass Junction Bheraghat Road, Jabalpur, Madhya Pradesh State of India.
The school is affiliated to the New Delhi-based Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) and offers nursery to class XII education. GGIS is a day-cum-residential school.
The mission of the school is to “inculcate in students a sense of self-esteem and provide an environment where their skills and creativity will be encouraged and nurtured”.
Campus
The school is housed in an idyllic environment in sprawling pollution free campus and has the honor to become the very first fully computerized digital school of central India. It is located on a lush green campus near the famous Bheraghat waterfalls away from the hustle bustle of the city. Castle shaped buildings house the administrative blocks, junior boys’ hostel, girls’ hostel, senior boys’ hostel, academic block, kindergarten block, hospital, mess and auditorium.
GGIS offers 25 digital classrooms all are equipped with ICT teaching-learning facilities, an e-library, 2 computer and IT labs, 10 laboratories equipped with latest modern amenities, Industrial arts laboratory (woodwork / auto mechanics), student recreation hall, social science, economics and commerce labs besides 4 study halls. A multipurpose performing arts’ space, 2 open stages and a multipurpose auditorium 'Parwaha' are venues for various school activities. The school also has a music practice/teaching room and art centre.
The school library consists of 17000 plus books excluding 32 newspapers and more than 30 periodicals. School also has E-library facility.
There is a 10-bed medical facility with a full-time doctor and registered nurses available to students throughout the academic year.
The school gives priority to sports and physical education and has a huge sports complex (300,000 sq. ft). This includes separate standard courts for basketball, lawn tennis, volleyball, badminton and kho-kho, huge playgrounds for football, hockey and athletics. Other facilities include net practice for cricket on turf wickets, a riding area, a shooting range as well as facilities for indoor games like table tennis, chess, carom etc. A full-length swimming pool and a separate small pool for younger learners are also available. The Gyan Ganga Fight Club trains students in judo, karate, whusu and martial art.

The school hostel accommodates 300 students.
Academics
The school is affiliated to the New Delhi-based Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) and offers nursery to class XII education. It follows CBSE’s continuous and comprehensive evaluation (CCE) system which assesses scholastic and non-scholastic achievements of students.
The school prepares its students for AISSE (X) and AISSCE (XII) Public Examinations.
Monthly unit tests, term examinations, preparatory examinations and annual examinations are conducted. Weightage is also given to achievements In music, art and craft, computer science and sports. Internal assessment is based on students’ performance in projects, seminars and assignments.
At the class XI and XII, a choice of science and commerce streams is offered.
Extracurricular:
Extracurricular and co-curricular activities such as music, dance, elocution, debates etc., are encouraged. Participation in sports and games is also encouraged. Outdoor visits to nearby farms and villages are oragnised to help students get a glimpse of local culture and lifestyles.
Admission
The school admissions in Pre-primary Classes are purely on the basis of oral test and admission granted on the basis of birth certificate issued by the competent authorities. For other classes, written test in English language, Science & Maths is mandatory where 40% marks is compulsory to qualify the examination. For confirmation of admission Transfer Certificate of previous school is mandatory duly countersigned by the appropriate authority to verify the eligibility filled in by the candidate in admission form.
No deadline for admission upto Class VIII as per existing government orders. The last date for admission in Class IX to XII as per CBSE rules is between April 01 to August 31 of the year. Though admission is closed when all the vacant seats are occupied in different classes.

Achievements
(a) A total of 85% students scored above 75% marks in board examinations during last three years.
(b) School organizes adventurous sports every year during the summer camp like Burma Bridge, Commando Bridge, Tyre Crossing, Rappelling, Jumaring, Pully Sliding, Ladder Climbing, etc in consultation with Adventure Sports Academy, Nagpur.
(c) School has been providing social intervention counseling services and support for the under privileged section of the society. Visiting places like old age homes and orphanages regularly have been encouraged to bring social responsibility in the students. 50 students of Class VII and VIII recently visited Nirashrit Old Age Home operated by Red Cross Society of India together with their teachers to make them feel that even if they are ignored by their children, they are always cared by the society. They also gave them Holy Shrimat Bhagwat Geeta, fruits, and shawls as gift to inmates.
(d) Awarded Shikha Ratna Award 2012 in Digital Learning by State Education Summit held in December 2012 at Indore.
(e) 8 gold medals from interschool wushu championship and entry to the next level and 15 gold medals for skating at the district and division level. Under 14 and under 17 at the roll ball tournament were winners and both are selected for state level competitions.
