Overview
G D Goenka School, Kanpur is a coeducational day cum residential school affiliated with the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), New Delhi. Founded in November 2012, the school was the first branch of GD Goenka School in Kanpur. G D Goenka School, Kanpur is an ISO 9001:2008 certified school.

Campus
The school campus comprises state-of-the-art laboratories for physics, chemistry and biology, a computer lab, robotics lab, language lab, an information technology center, learning resource center, an auditorium with seating capacity of 450, music and dance rooms, AV rooms and a canteen.
The school campus hosts a swimming pool within the premises with separate changing rooms and showers for boys and girls. The school also hosts facilities for various indoor and outdoor games such as cricket, hockey, soccer, tennis, table tennis, badminton, squash, basketball, swimming, boxing, athletics and gymnastics. The school also has a play pen for the kindergarten section.
Accomodation
GD Goenka School, Kanpur recently inaugurated its hostel. The hostel houses separate accommodation facilities for boys and girls.
Academics
In the pre-primary section (pre-nursery to class I), teaching is activity oriented and involves flashcards, puppets, storytelling, dramatisation and role-play and aims to instill values and attitudes such as caring for others, compassion and preservation of the environment.
In the primary section (classes II to V), children are exposed to more formal ways of learning and testing. The subjects offered include English, Hindi, math, EVS, GK and computer. Students of class V are introduced to an additional language.
At the senior level (classes VI to XII), the emphasis is on making children imbibe character traits such as honesty and responsibility, distinguishing between good and bad and the ability to make their own decisions. The subjects are more detailed and specific and help children get more focused about their future and choose activities accordingly.
Extracurriculars
The students are encouraged to explore various fields of creative and performing arts. Skilled professionals train them in different types of music, dance, art & craft, and drama. Students are coached in cricket, hockey, soccer, tennis, table tennis, badminton, squash, basketball, swimming, boxing, athletics and gymnastics.
