Overview
Founded in 2011, GD Goenka International School Surat (GDGIS) is a coeducational English medium day school affiliated with the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), New Delhi. The school offers classes from pre-primary level through class XII and runs operates under the management of Aashirward Kelavani Public Charitable Trust.
The school aims to help the child realise his/her inner strength and give him a conducive environment to grow and evolve as a good social being and a global citizen.
Campus
The school campus hosts well-equipped laboratories for computer studies, robotics, physics, chemistry, biology, general science and maths, a 3D lab, spacious and comfortable auditorium, well stocked libraries in the pre-primary, primary and higher sections, Educomp smart class, gymnasium, hospital and a salon.
Accomodation
Being a day school, it does not offer accommodation facility.
Academics
Pre-primary Section (Play Group to Senior K.G.) – In pre-primary section, children are nurtured to enhance their linguistic skills, cognitive abilities, fine and gross motor development, social and emotional growth.
Primary Section (classes I - IV) – In Primary section children learn by using their prior knowledge. New learning is imparted through hands on activities and practical experiences and the child is inspired to be a global life long learner.
Middle (classes V - VIII) and High School (classes IX - XII) - GDGIS is dedicated to providing holistic learning and moulding children into independent individuals. The school strives to explore and enhance the physical and intellectual competence of the children, while nurturing their creativity. GDGIS is regarded as one of the best schools in Surat and is dedicated to providing intellectual abilities, aesthetic and artistic skills.
Admission
The following steps are to be followed for admission to the school:
1. Visit the school campus. The counsellors will assist with the details.
2. Admission form to be collected within the given time and date.
3. Form submission to be done along with the required documents mentioned in the form.
4. Take a campus tour with prior appointments.
5. Following the submission of form at the school, schedule a date of interview for the child.
6. The school declares the results two days after the interview.
