Overview
DPS Panipat City is a day-cum-boarding school affiliated with the Delhi-based Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) and the Cambridge International Examinations (CIE), UK. It offers education from play group to class XII. DPS Panipat is a franchisee school of the well-reputed DPS Society, which has a network of 150 DPS schools countrywide.
DPS Panipat has adopted a curriculum, which combines the best of available pedagogies, tried and tested across the country by various DPS schools. The school’s motto is “Service before self.”
Campus
DPS Panipat is sited on two campuses in Panipat city -- the junior school (play group to class V) is located in Sushant City while the main senior school (class VI-XII) on G.T. Road. The junior school boasts fully air-conditioned classrooms, a toddler’s splash pool, a swimming pool, a skating rink and a cricket field. Air-conditioned school buses are available for those who require transport.
The main/senior school features a well-stocked library, well-equipped physics, chemistry and biology laboratories, dance room, swimming pool, music room, a huge playground and a basket ball court. Computer-aided learning is used to make education an interactive process.
Accomodation
DPS Panipat City provides hostel facilities for boys and girls. The rooms are comfortable and well-ventilated.
Academics
DPS Panipat City is affiliated with the CBSE and CIE, UK boards. It offers education from playgroup to class XII. As a CBSE affiliated school it follows the CCE or Continuous and Comprehensive Evaluation scheme for student assessment.
It also offers CIE's IGCSE, AS and A levels.
Co-Curricular:
DPS Panipat offers co-curricular activities like music, dance and a variety of literary activities. Sports on offer include cricket, basketball, skating, taekwondo, billiards, snooker, squash, table tennis, swimming, lawn tennis, chess, softball, yoga, athletics, football and horse riding.
Admission
Age eligibility (as on 1st April) is 1 ½ years for play group, 2 years for pre-nursery, 3 years for nursery, and four years for prep. Five-year olds can apply for admission to class I.
The admission form is available at the school’s cash counter, and must be submitted within 7 days from the date of issue, with the registration fee. For pre-nursery to class V, interaction with the student is conducted. For class VI upwards, a different entrance procedure is followed. The school admission office will provide details on request.
