Overview

Established in 2013, Delhi Public School (DPS), sited at Kolar Road in Bhopal is a coeducational day cum boarding school promoted by the Delhi Public School (DPS) Society, New Delhi and Jagran Social Welfare Society.   With more than 60 years of experience in the schooling sector, the Delhi Public School boasts more than 140 schools across the globe.

DPS Kolar Road is affiliated with the Central Board of Education (CBSE), New Delhi and the medium of instruction is English. Besides focusing on academic excellence, Delhi Public School, Kolar emphasises on personal, social and emotional aspect of each child for their all round development.

Campus

Academics

Affiliated with CBSE, DPS Kolar offers Educomp smart classes from nursery to class XII. The teaching learning process incorporates Tata Class Edge methodology which aims to enhance students’ social and thinking skills along with ensuring thorough understanding of the curriculum content. The school curriculum includes subjects such as English, Hindi, French, Mathematics, Computer Science, Science and Social Science. The school offers Science, Humanities and Commerce streams at the higher secondary level.

Extracurricular:

Extracurricular activities include vocal and instrumental music, art and craft, folk and classical dance, debating, social work, poetry, gardening, vocal music and western dance. The sporting activities include basketball, football, cricket, volleyball, swimming, martial arts, carom and yoga.

Admission

Admission to nursery, pre-nursery and prep is based on draw of lots. Few seats are reserved for management quota, RTE, siblings, staff child and transfer cases.

Admission to classes I to VIII is on the basis of preliminary interaction with parents and child and on basis of draw of lots as per the availability of the seats.

For class IX, admission is based on an entrance test in Science, Mathematics and English.
