Overview
The Delhi Public School (DPS), Faridabad is a co-educational day school affiliated to the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE). D.P.S. Faridabad was founded on July 10, 1995 with 640 students and 40 teachers and was housed in two rented buildings in sector 21. The school today boasts enrollment of over 4000 students.
DPS Faridabad boasts of offering quality education to the students and is equipped with the most sophisticated infrastructure and teaching aids, besides state-of-the-art laboratories for the sciences and languages. The school also claims to maintain equilibrium between curricular and co-curricular activities ranging from sports, arts, dance and music to dramatics and oration. The motto of the school is "Service before self".
Campus
D.P.S. Faridabad is located on an 8 acre campus which includes a hostel, a large playing field, a cafeteria, an open air theatre, a toddler pool and a garden besides the school building. The school’s medical room conducts health checkup of students, maintains their records and updates parents regularly about their children’s health status.
The school has seven computer laboratories of which five are for the senior wing and two for the junior wing with internet connectivity and LCD projectors. The labs have a seating capacity of 280 students at a time and boast of the finest hardware, software and multimedia. There are two multilingual laboratories - one for the senior wing and the other for the junior wing to learn English, Hindi, Sanskrit, French and Japanese.
The school also has two smart classrooms furnished with LCD projectors and advanced software to facilitate teaching of various subjects.
The school also has an art and craft room, four separate mirrored music and dance rooms, an activity room for students of nursery, kindergarten and class I equipped with fun and learning tools.

Delhi Public School, Faridabad is a day school, hence hostel facility is not provided.

In the art and craft room children are encouraged to practice fabric painting, glass painting, collage work, best out of waste, rangoli making, mehndi designing scratch painting etc. The music and dance rooms are mirrored and equipped with advanced musical instruments and recording systems.
The activity room for nursery, kindergarten and class I children includes developmental games, motor coordination games, cognitive development games, socio-emotional games, eye-hand coordination games to encourage holistic learning in children and familiarize them with each other and their environment.
Admission
For admission to nursery, the child should be four years of age by September 30 of the academic year he/she is seeking admission for (i.e. for the academic year March 2012 the child should be 4 years old by September 30, 2012).
Achievements
The school conducts a social responsibility program called DPS Shiksha Kendra for under privileged children, where the children are provided with books, stationary, uniforms etc. apart from quality education.
