Overview
Founded in 1998, Dehradun Institute of Technology (DIT) or DIT University is a private university promoted by Naveen Agarwal, the founder of the Unison Group. The university is recognised by the UGC and offers undergraduate and postgraduate courses in the fields of Engineering, Pharmacy, Management and Architecture.
DIT University is a member of the Association of Indian Universities.
Campus
The 21 acre lush green campus hosts spacious classrooms, a well-stocked library featuring a rich collection of over 10,000 books, well-equipped laboratories, centrally air-conditioned auditorium equipped with latest technology for all types of audio/video presentations, an open air theatre, a canteen and a cafeteria, Banking and ATM facilities.
DIT hosts a separate indoor space for indoor games such as table tennis, carom, chess, badminton, volleyball and basketball.
The university runs a fleet of 18 well maintained buses for students and staff.
Accomodation
The university provides separate accommodation facilities for boys and girls. Rooms are designed like an apartment with adequate toilets. Hostels have modern and well equipped kitchens and dining halls.

Admission
Admission is based on merit.
Eligibility for B.Tech
Candidates should have minimum 60 percent marks in class X, aggregate of 65 percent marks in class XII and minimum 60 percent in PCME /PMBE/ PME.
Bachelor of Architecture
Candidates should have minimum aggregate of 50 percent marks in class X & XII with pass in Maths (compulsory subject) and qualified in any state or national level aptitude test (approved by COA) such as NATA / JEE ARCH etc.
Bachelor of Computer Applications
Candidates should have minimum 50 percent marks in class XII with Mathemetics or its equivalent examination in any stream conducted by a recognised Board/University/Council with Maths as Mandatory Subject.
MBA
Candidates should have minimum 50 percent throughout in class X, XII & graduation with valid CAT/MAT/XAT/CMAT score.
MCA
Candidates should have minimum 50 percent marks in BCA/BSc (IT).
